PDFs and photos attached to the customer
Any customer can carry file attachments: PDF contracts, photographs of work, scanned documents. Files are chosen through the Android system picker, copied into the app private storage on your device, opened with your usual viewer and removed with a confirmation. No storage permission is requested.

The paper that follows a customer
Every trade accumulates documents that belong to a person rather than to a folder. A signed contract. A photograph of the damage before the repair. A measurement sheet. A copy of a licence. They usually end up in the phone gallery, indistinguishable from three thousand other photos, or in a drawer.
Attaching them to the customer record puts them where they will be looked for.
- Signed contracts and agreements as PDFs
- Before-and-after photographs of the work
- Photographs of a serial number or a damaged part
- Scanned identity or licence documents
- A handwritten measurement sheet, photographed
How it handles permissions and storage
Files are chosen through the Android system picker, which is what lets the app avoid asking for a storage permission at all — you grant access to one file, at the moment you pick it, and nothing more. The file is then copied into the app own private storage, so moving or deleting the original later does not break the attachment.
Because it is a copy, attachments are included in the app storage footprint. Large scans add up; a photo per customer will not.
The current limit, stated honestly
In a team workspace, attachments stay on the device that added them. The record syncs, the file does not — file sync is a planned addition rather than something quietly implied. The app says so on screen rather than letting a colleague tap an attachment that is not there.
Frequently asked questions
What kinds of files can I attach?
PDFs and images. They are picked through the system file picker and opened afterwards with whatever viewer you normally use.
Does the app ask for permission to my photos?
No. Using the system file picker means you grant access to the single file you chose, at that moment. No blanket storage permission is requested.
Are attachments uploaded anywhere?
No. They are copied into the app private storage on your own device. In personal mode nothing leaves the phone at all.
Do team members see attachments added by someone else?
Not yet. The customer record syncs but attached files stay on the device that added them. File sync is planned; the app tells you this on screen rather than failing silently.
Are attachments included in the backup?
The backup file covers your database records. Keep original copies of important documents outside the app as well — that is good practice regardless of which app you use.
