The line between free and paid

The split is not "basic features versus good features". It is "one person versus several people". Every capability in the app is available to a single user at no cost, including the ones that are usually the first to be paywalled — export, reporting, unlimited records, backup.

What is sold is the ability for a team to share one customer list from separate phones. That is a genuinely different thing, it costs real money to run reliably, and it is only needed by a business that has employees.

How team pricing works

Seats are sold as packages rather than one at a time. A team of twelve buys the 1+15 package; a salon with three chairs buys 1+5. The manager is the only payer and the only person who can invite, which keeps one bill and one decision-maker.

Billing is monthly or yearly through Google Play, in your own currency, at the price Google shows for your region. Yearly plans carry a three-day free trial provided by Google. Because prices vary by region and change over time, the live figure is the one on the Google Play subscription screen — printing a number here would go stale and mislead somebody.

• Change package at any time; more seats take effect immediately, fewer at the end of the period
• Members never pay and never see a payment screen

What happens if you stop paying

The team workspace locks on every device and syncing stops. Nothing is deleted. Personal mode carries on working with its own data untouched, and if the subscription becomes active again the whole workspace returns exactly as it was, syncing from where it left off.

If the manager disbands the workspace instead, an archive is written first and can be restored from the Backup and Restore screen. You are not locked out of your own records by a lapsed subscription.

No upsell mechanics

There is no countdown on the single-user app, no feature that shows a padlock in personal mode, and no e-mail sequence — the app has no e-mail address for you. If you never need several people on one customer list, you will never be asked for money.
