Import your customer list from Excel or CSV

Answer

Use the customer-import screen to download an Excel or CSV template, add your existing customer details and review the preview before confirming. It separates new customers from duplicates and rows without names. Personal Free includes 50 imported records in total; Personal Pro removes that import limit. Manual customer entry remains part of the free core.

A customer import is different from restoring a backup

This import adds customers from a contact list. It does not recreate the sales history, appointments or attachments from another CRM. To move a full CRM Sales Tracker workspace, use the backup and restore guide instead.

Check duplicates before confirming

The preview identifies customers already in the app and repeated rows in the file. Rows without a name are skipped. Similar phone numbers written in another form are flagged for review and may still be added, so inspect those rows yourself.

Undo is useful, but it is not a harmless preview

You can undo the last import from Settings for up to one week. Undo removes the imported customers and any sales, appointments or files added to them afterward. Read the confirmation carefully and keep a backup before undoing an import that you have already worked with.

Personal and Team imports

The 50-record free allowance is a total Personal allowance, not a fresh allowance for every file or day. Phone contacts, CSV and Excel use the same allowance. Personal Pro removes that ceiling; Team imports belong to the separate Team Workspace plan and its access rules.

Steps

  1. Keep your original listSave your original spreadsheet, then download the Excel or CSV template from the import screen. Copy the customer details into its matching columns.
  2. Choose the destinationCheck whether you are working in Personal or in the intended Team workspace. Imported Team customers join that team’s shared list.
  3. Review the previewRead the counts for new customers, duplicates and missing names. Also check warnings about phone numbers written in different ways; a warning does not always mean the row was skipped.
  4. Confirm and check a sampleConfirm the import, then open a few customers to check names and contact details before adding further business activity.

Frequently asked questions

Can I import a spreadsheet from another CRM?

Yes, if you copy the customer details into the supported template. This is a customer-list import, not a complete migration of another product’s sales and appointment history.

Will buying Personal Pro increase my Team plan?

No. Personal Pro and Team Workspace are separate plans. Use the plan for the workspace you are importing into.
