Excel and PDF reports, generated on the phone

Answer

The app writes real multi-sheet .xlsx files and designed PDF reports on the device, then shares them to WhatsApp, e-mail or any other app. Export the period summary from the dashboard, the exact list you are looking at with its filters, or a full date-range export from settings. All of it is free.

Where this came from

A user wrote in with a plain complaint: they could not send a report over WhatsApp or e-mail. Everything was in the app and nothing could leave it. The export system was built to answer exactly that, and it is now one of the most used parts of the product.

Real Excel files, not CSV with a different extension

The spreadsheet engine was written from scratch inside the app, with no third-party library, and it produces a genuine multi-sheet workbook. Numbers arrive as numbers, dates as dates and money as money, so the accountant does not spend an hour re-typing a column.

  • Several sheets in one file — customers, sales, payments, appointments
  • Coloured headers, zebra striping and a frozen header row
  • Auto-filter switched on for every sheet
  • A live =SUM total row that recalculates when the file is edited
  • Typed cells: number, date and currency, not text
  • Right-to-left sheet flag set for Arabic, Persian and Urdu
  • Verified to open cleanly in Excel, LibreOffice, Google Sheets and WPS

PDFs for the customer, Excel for the accountant

The PDF side is a designed document rather than a screenshot: a brand band across the top with your company name, KPI cards, tables with proper styling, page breaks and a footer with page numbers. Columns mirror correctly in right-to-left languages.

That is the file you send to a client or a partner. The Excel file is the one you send to whoever does your books.

Three places to export from

The list export is deliberately what-you-see-is-what-you-get. If you filtered the sales list down to unpaid orders from May, that is the file you get — not the whole table with a note telling you to filter it again in the spreadsheet.

WhereWhat comes outTypical use
Analytics — Share reportPeriod summary as PDF, Excel or plain textSending the month to a partner or accountant
Any list screen — ExportExactly what is on screen, filters appliedThe overdue payments list, this week appointments
Settings — Export dataMulti-sheet Excel, date range and segments chosenYear-end, tax time, handing over the books

In a team, exports have permissions

Inside a team workspace the manager decides, per member and per segment, who may export what. A member exports only what their portfolio lets them see on screen, so the export rule never becomes a hole in the visibility rule. If permission is missing, the app says so plainly instead of producing a silently empty file.

Frequently asked questions

Is export a paid feature?

No. Excel and PDF export are part of the free single-user app, including the full date-range export from settings.

Can I send the report over WhatsApp?

Yes. The file is generated on the device and handed to the normal Android share sheet, so WhatsApp, e-mail, Telegram, Drive and any other app that accepts files are all available.

Will the Excel file open in Google Sheets?

Yes. The files were tested in Excel, LibreOffice, Google Sheets and WPS, with typed cells, frozen headers and auto-filter intact.

Does the export include only what I filtered?

From a list screen, yes — the export matches the screen exactly, filters included. The settings export is the one where you pick a date range and segments instead.

Does my company name appear in the reports?

Yes. The company name you set appears in the report header band and in the customer cells of the exported tables.
